18x Wheel Multiplier: 5% Win Chance

At a 18x multiplier the Wheel wins 5% of the time, which is 1 in 20, and pays 18 back for every 1 you stake (a profit of 17). The expected return is 90 for every 100 staked.

The Wheel turns a provably fair roll between 0.0000 and 0.9999 into a position on the wheel. You pick Under or Over, and the multiplier sets how large the winning zone is: chance = 90 ÷ 18 = 5%. Choosing Under or Over does not change the odds, only which end of the roll range wins.

What to expect over many spins

These are statistical averages for a 1-unit stake. They describe the long run, not what the next ten spins will do.

SpinsWins expectedNet expectedTypical swing
10 spins0.5-1± 12.41
100 spins5-10± 39.23
1,000 spins50-100± 124

Net expected is negative by design: the house edge takes 10% of everything staked on average. The swing column is one standard deviation, so results land inside it roughly two times out of three and outside it the rest of the time.

What this multiplier feels like

18x is a high-variance setting. Most spins lose, and the wins that do land pay a lot. Because the chance is only 5%, a session of a few dozen spins can finish with no win at all without anything being wrong.

Other multipliers

Every spin can be checked. The roll for each Wheel spin comes from an HMAC of a server seed committed in advance, your client seed and a nonce, so the result cannot be chosen after you bet. How to check one is on the provably fair page.
